Custom Exercises

Every gym has one machine nobody else has a name for. Add it once and it works like everything else.

They are not second-class

A custom exercise gets the same treatment as a built-in one: its own history, its own progression chart, PR detection, and a place in your volume and muscle-group analytics.

You pick its tracking type when you create it, so a machine you load with plates, a timed hold and a weighted pull-up all record the right thing rather than being forced into a weight-and-reps box.

Managing them

  1. Open the Profile tab and go to Exercises.
  2. Add a new exercise, or tap an existing one to edit it.
  3. To remove a custom exercise, tap the trash icon next to it in the list.

What the free plan allows

The free plan includes 5 custom exercises, alongside 5 custom routines and 5 custom splits. Pro removes the cap.

Built-in exercises cannot be deleted, only hidden — so a library you have tidied stays tidy, and nothing you have already logged against an exercise disappears with it.

It’s free, and it’s in the app

439 exercises, 40+ ready-made routines, and unlimited workout logging — no account required to start.

Frequently asked questions

How many custom exercises do I get for free?

Five. Pro makes it unlimited. The free plan also includes 5 custom routines and 5 custom splits.

Do custom exercises get progression charts?

Yes. They behave exactly like library exercises — history, estimated 1RM, volume and PR tracking all work.

Can I delete a built-in exercise?

Built-ins can be hidden but not deleted, so nothing you have already logged against one is lost. Custom exercises you can delete outright.
